After the Purlear Creek retreat
There's a loneliness epidemic with creatives. I'd started an online group to help some friends I'd met online stay accountable to the goals we'd set. After a while, we decided being in person was a much better option than staying online.
What started out as an online accountability group turned into something much bigger. This was the first time we tried it in person, and it worked.
That decision was the beginning of all of this. I had just come back from another retreat, Creator Camp, and I'd realized how impactful being in person really was. So we tried it.
Ten creatives, one house in Purlear, North Carolina. No sponsors, no plan, no idea if any of it would actually work. It did. The conversations we had on that trip are why Creative Minds exists today.
